The Thrift Store

Our thrift store benefits not only the clients of The River Valley Shelter but also the community. Each client in our shelter can go into our thrift store and get items to help themselves and their children live a more comfortable life. In many cases, those coming to stay with us in shelter do not have the time to pack the things that they need. Through the thrift store, clients can pick out items that are comfortable for them. For some, this "shopping" experience might be the first time to pick their clothes in years.

The Thrift Store prides itself on continuing to give back to survivors and our community by providing high-quality, gently loved clothes, shoes, accessories, books, decor, appliances, toys, and more.

My toxic trait is thinking I can only pop into a thrift store for Five Minutes

The Thrift Store is a significant revenue stream, allowing us to provide all services free of charge. Donated items for which there is no current need for one of our clients are sold through The Thrift Store. 100% of the proceeds go to support the mission of The River Valley Shelter.
