FabFitFun is a wildly popular quarterlybeautyandlifestyle subscription. Every three months, subscribers have the option of customizing a box stuffed with 6 full-sized finds from recognizable brands featuring items perfect for each season.

There are two membership options: you can either be an annual subscriber or a seasonal subscriber. If you choose the annual option, you are charged $219.99 when you sign up and then you're billed automatically at the same time the following year. With this option, you can utilize perks like choosing your customizations and add-ons early, plus, you will receive your box earlier than seasonal subscribers. If you go the seasonal route, you will be charged $69.99 per box per season; this subscription also automatically renews each quarter.

First Impressions

I've always loved FFF's boxes. I have repurposed many of them from the past; it is always fun seeing how a brand's packaging changes over time. I've been a subscriber since 2016, so the two of us have been through a lot together.

Even though the weather here has been very spring, I felt warm summer vibes immediately upon opening this season's box.

Who could resist a new pair of sunnies for the start of summer? I don't have a brown pair in this fun retro shape, so I wanted to add these to my ever-growing collection.

I even caught Ryan wearing these the other day; he told me he thought they were his, but we all know the truth. This pair feels sturdy enough to wear around the kids while we goof off outside or at the water park.

We moved last year, so I am still learning about the landscaping at my house; I was so pleasantly surprised when all of a sudden this spring I had a garden of perennial flowers blossoming. My son loves to go outside and pick his sister and mom a bouquet, and this minty Bouqs vase is a gorgeous vessel to store them in.

His arrangements just keep getting better and better! This ceramic vase stands 8 inches tall, and it is even dishwasher safe.

If you're a sucker for nostalgic packaging like me, I know you're also living for this brand's aesthetic. Applying SPF has never been so easy. A few quick spritzes from this non-aerosol bottle, and you're ready to safely enjoy some rays. This product is SPF 50 with active ingredients Avobenzone, Octisalate, and Octocrylene. It layers very nicely over makeup, drying down to a silky finish that is satin and never greasy. The subtle fragrance brings me back to the beach, and I can't wait to put this product to work.

Amika Smooth Over Frizz-fighting Treatment - Retail Value $32

Amika products work really well in my fine hair, so I thought I would treat myself to trying something new; also, I can't get enough of their product's addictively warm and unique signature fragrance they are known for. The directions tell you to wash and condition, then saturate your hair with this mask from the midlength to your ends for 60 seconds, rinse, and you're done. This is the easiest mask I've ever used! It really helped to smooth the ends of my hair, and it still smells great two days later.

This hair wax stick is a versatile must for summer. I was looking for something to prevent my messy bun from looking, well, too messy. I have so many postpartum baby hairs that seem to never grow into grown-up hairs, and they love to stick straight up from my head when I pull my hair back. This wax is great for gently laying those babies to rest, but I noticed it is also great to separate my ends which gives my fine hair a little texture.

One thing about me, I love to hoard cute little containers. This definitely fits the bill, and honestly, it was what I was looking forward to most in this quarter's box. It is a little bigger than I thought, but it is perfect for a generous portion if you tend to share your snacks with insatiable toddlers. The silicone lid fits snuggly on top of the stainless container and they are both dishwasher-safe.

The Verdict

FabFitFun's summer box was full of excellent customization options and sensational summer vibes. Every season I struggle to make my choices in each category, but even though the choices are tough, I never regret any of my picks. Plus, the option to buy additional deeply discounted items as add-ons is an amazing perk. I am especially excited about the S'Well container, Amika hair treatment, and my new Bouqs vase. This box has a retail value of $181, which is a great value for its cost of $69.99.
