Easter Eggs

If you're looking for a list of all the Easter Eggs with complete walkthroughs, including the main map Easter Egg, head over to the Der Eisendrache Easter Eggs page.

Der Eisendrache contains a number of new and returning Zombies features. Read the information below if you want to get to know the map before jumping in blind.

Pack-A-Punch Machine

In Der Eisendrache, the Pack-A-Punch Machine has been broken apart and scattered to three different locations. You must find and transport the pieces from two of the locations to reassemble the machine at the third location.

One of the Pack-a-Punch pieces locations is the Bastion, which is the area at the top of the castle just outside of the Power Room. Another location is the Undercroft, which is the area beneath the castle that opens up after the power has been enabled. It is a short distance from the Pyramid and Jugger-Nog. The third location is at the Rocket Platform, which can only be accessed through the teleporter from the Undercroft.

After teleporting the pieces from two locations, the machine will assembled at the third. Like usual, the Pack-A-Punch machine costs 5000 points to upgrade a weapon. Weapons can be upgraded a second time to add special ammo to the weapon.

Perk-A-Cola Machines

Only five Perk-A-Cola Machines are available in Der Eisendrache. However, more Perk-A-Colas can be obtained by using the Wunderfizz Orb around the map. Scroll down to the Wunderfizz Orb header for more information.

Machine Price Location
Quick Revive 500 (Solo)
1500 (Multiplayer)
Tram Station, at the start of the map.
Jugger-Nog 2500 The Undercroft, just passed the gate that leads to the Tram Station. The power must be enabled to access this area.
Speed Cola 3000 Mission Control, in the castle between the Living Quarters and the Upper Courtyard.
Stamin-Up 2000 Power Room, to the right of the Bowie Knife.
Double Tap 20 Root Beer 2000 Gate House, between the Tram Station and the Lower Courtyard.
Mule Kick 4000 Tunnel / Trophy Room, between the Tram Station and Upper Courtyard.

Wunderfizz Orb

The Wunderfizz Orb returns in Der Eisendrach. These are tall and slim machines placed around the map that can only be used once the power has been enabled and the Wunderfizz Orb is at the machine. Spend 1500 points to obtain a random Perk-A-Cola. After using the machine enough times, the Wunderfizz Orb will move to another machine somewhere around the map. Each area has one Wunderfizz Orb machine.

Tram / Gondola

A nifty new feature in Der Eisendrache is the tram. This is the small, wired car – also known as a gondola – that travels from the base of the mountain to the starting area. The gondola will carry one random Power Up to the starting area each time it is called.

The gondola can be called any time a player has a tram fuse in their possession. One will be given automatically at the start of the game, and more will be dropped randomly by zombies. Place a fuse in the control panel facing the gondola to call it up. After delivering the power up and returning back to the base of the mountain, the tram and control panel will need a short time to cool down before it can be called again.

Wundersphere

The Wundersphere is a quick means of transportation in Der Eisendrach. For 500 points, you can nearly instantly launch from one landing pad to another. There are four Wunderspheres and four landing pads around the map.

Activate the four landing pads by standing on them and holding the reload button. Next, enable the power within the castle to use the Wunderspheres. Each Wundersphere will transport you to a specific landing pad. See the table below.

VMP 1300 Rocket Platform, near the entrance and landing pad.

Assembling the Rocket Shield

The Rocket Shield can be created once three pieces have been located around the map and assembled on a work bench. The pieces will randomly move around an area, but they are always within the same zone within the map. One piece is located in the Upper Courtyard, one piece is located in the Lower Courtyard, and one piece is located in the Undercroft. The piece in the Undercroft will always be stuck up on the wall. To get it, you must activate four glyphs around the pyramid. Stand on these glyphs until they turn blue to be able to wall ride and pick up the piece.

Once you have all three pieces, assemble the shield at one of the two work benches. One is located in a small room in the Lower Courtyard. This room also houses a Wundersphere and an L-Car 9. The other location is in Mission Control to the right of the fire place.

Assembling the Ragnarok DG-4

The Ragnarok DG-4 is one of the two buildable weapons in Der Eisendrache. To build this weapon, you will need three pieces hidden throughout the map. They can be obtained in any order.

One piece is found above the map. Activate the Death Ray electric trap at the Bastion for 1000 points. This should set the part somewhere over the map. Use the Wunderspheres to instantly grab the part as you fly from one area to another. You can try to look for it in the sky, or you can just use the Wunderspheres until you get it.

One piece is found at the Rocket Platform. Stay around the area until a voice says the rocket will launch soon. Run to the back side of the rocket pad and flip the switch with a green light over it. This will be on the ground floor.

advertisem*nt

Quickly run behind the blast doors to the teleporter before they close. Locate the console with three lights near the teleporter. Wait until all three lights on the console are solid green before pressing the button. This will place one of the parts in the teleporter.

One piece is found within the Panzersoldat. This is the mechanized enemy that appears near round 12. The easiest way to kill him is to trap him in the Death Ray and shoot the core on his stomach. Grab the part once he is destroyed.

With all three parts in hand, go to one of the work benches either in Mission Control or near the Wundersphere in the Lower Courtyard.

The Ragnarok DG-4 is a special weapon. It will not take up one of the two weapon slots, but it can only be used once before needed to be recharged. Kill zombies to recharge it. This weapon can be set down as a trap or used as gravity spikes.

Assembling the Wrath of the Ancients

The Wrath of the Ancients is one of the secret weapons in Der Eisendrache. This weapon can be obtained after completing a short quest. You must feed several zombies to three different dragons around the map.

The dragon heads will appear to be statues when you first see them. Kill a zombie beneath them to bring them to life. The dragons will only be able to eat one zombie at a time, so try making circles in each area before killing and feeding another zombie to the dragon. Once the dragon has eaten enough, it will breath fire and crumble into pieces.

One dragon is located above the fire place in Mission Control.

One dragon is located in the corner of the Lower Courtyard.

advertisem*nt

One dragon is located near the pyramid in the Undercroft.

After all three dragons have been fed, go to the path between Mission Control and the Undercroft to find the Wraith of the Ancients. This is an explosive bow that will take up one of your weapon slots. It has 60 shots. A quick shot (press the fire button) will cause a small explosion, and only take up one of the 60 shots. A charged shot (hold the fire button) will cause a big explosion, and will take up two of the 60 shots.

The bow can then be upgraded to one of four different bows. See the Der Eisendrache Easter Eggs page for full walkthroughs.

Enemies

Hell Hounds return in Der Eisendrach. They will come out to attack about every five rounds. They act the same as the Hell Hounds from all the previous maps – they will teleport into the map and attack with their teeth. Shoot them in the head to deal the most damage.

A new enemy called the Panzersoldat will come in to the fight near round ten (usually round twelve on solo). This is a heavily armored enemy with an attached flamethrower. It will fire blue gel at long distances that will detonate on impact with a player or after a few seconds of hitting the ground/wall. Aim and shoot the power orb on its stomach to deal the most damage. It's easiest to deal damage by trapping him in the death ray on the bastion.

Fire and Electric zombies will appear in the tunnel to the Rocket Platform once the rocket launches and the blast doors close. These zombies will explode once you shoot them, so keep your distance.

Below is a detailed layout of the Der Eisendrache map. The areas are given the same names as the bloody signs around the map. Der Eisendrache mainly has two paths that eventually connect near the power room. Several doors will also open only after enabling the power.

The locations of the weapons, equipment, Pack-A-Punch Machine, and Perk-A-Colas are listed above if you don't want to go through the entire map walkthrough below.

Tram Station

All players start out inside the tram station. Walk forward and grab the tram fuse once you begin the game. You can use this at the control panel up the first set of stairs to call the gondola and get a random Power Up. Use the fuses wisely, they drop randomly after killing zombie.

A landing pad is located right near the tram control panel. Stand on it and hold the reload button to activate it. This will allow you to use the Wundersphere somewhere else on the map to return to the tram station. Also on the ground floor is a GobbleGum Machine. Buy some GobbleGum for 500 points.

Up the second set of stairs are two weapon wallbuys. The Sheiva is located to the right for 500 points, and the RK5 is located to the left.

Investigate the small room near the RK5 to find the Quick Revive Perk-A-Cola. This can be purchased three times for 500 points on solo, or as many times as necessary for 1500 points on co-op.

There are three exits from the tram station, but the door between the two wallbuys can only be opened once the power is enabled. Take the exit to the right of the starting point to go to the cliff side, or take the exit up the stairs to the left to enter a short tunnel. Each door can be opened with 750 points. If you take the path to the cliff side, continue reading below. If you took the path to the tunnel, jump down to the tunnel to the trophy room section.

Cliff Side to Gate House

This area is a short walk from the tram station up to the castle gate house. A KRM-262 wallbuy can be found in the corner near the levitating truck. Purchase the shotgun with 750 points.

The large structure up ahead is the gate house. You can find a Gobble Gum Machine near the large gate and a Double Tap 20 Root Beer in the dark room to the right of the gate.

The gate can be opened with 1000 points. This will lead to the lower courtyard. Return here after enabling the power to make use of the electric trap in the gate house.

Lower Courtyard

The lower courtyard connects the cliff side with the living quarters of the castle. One of the three Rocket Shield parts will be located somewhere around this area.

A landing pad can be found up the stairs above the gate house. Stand on it and hold the reload button to activate it. This will allow you to use the Wundersphere somewhere else on the map to return to the lower courtyard.

Right of the landing pad – while looking down at the courtyard – is a small supply room with a Vesper wallbuy. Purchase the SMG here with 1250 points. You can also find the Wunderfizz Orb Machine within this room, and a GobbleGum Machine is positioned at the top of the stairs that lead up to this room from the courtyard.

advertisem*nt

Left of the landing pad – while looking down at the courtyard – is a small room with an L-Car 9 wallbuy. Purchase the machine pistol here with 750 points.

This same small room holds a work bench where you can assemble the rocket shield and ragnarok. Down a short path from the work bench is a Wundersphere. You can take this Wundersphere to the upper courtyard with 500 points after the landing pad at the upper courtyard has been activated and the power has been enabled. If you get stuck on the bridge to the Wundersphere, you can clear debris with 500 points to jump down to the gate house.

The bridge extending over the courtyard will lead to a VMP wallbuy. This SMG can be purchased with 1300 points. If you get stuck on the bridge, you can clear debris with 500 points to jump down to the courtyard.

Some debris will be blocking the doorway into the castle near the VMP wallbuy. Clear this debris with 1250 points to enter the Living Quarters.

Living Quarters

The living quarters is a small room within the castle. It connects the lower courtyard to the power room.

One side of the living quarters is the bedroom. You can find a KN-44 wallbuy to the right of the bed. Purchase it with 1400 points.

Search the room on the other side of the living quarters to locate the Wunderfizz Orb Machine.

advertisem*nt

Follow the short hall deeper into the castle until you come across a gate. This gate can be opened with 1500 points, and will lead to the room with the power switch.

Power Room

The power room is the central area of the entire map. No matter which of the two paths you took from the tram station, you will arrive at the power room before going into the second path. While looking into the power room, the path to the left will lead to the living quarters, and the path to the right will lead to mission control. Each gate can be opened with 1500 points.

An HVK-30 wallbuy is located on a pillar near the entrance to the first room. This assault rifle can be purchased with 1600 points. Near the HVK is a GobbleGum Machine.

The room passed the HVK and GobbleGum leads to the power switch and the Bowie Knife wallbuy. The knife can be purchased with 3000 points. Directly to the right of the Bowie Knife is the Stamin Up Perk-A-Cola Machine. This perk can be purchased with 2000 points.

Enabling the power will activate the Wunderspheres (if the corresponding landing pad has been activated), the Wunderfizz Orb Machines, the Perk-A-Cola Machines, the electric traps, and it will open select doors around the map.

The doors that open with the power enabled will connect the bastion (the area outside) with the power room, upper courtyard, and lower courtyard. Doors from mission control, tram station, and the lower courtyard will open to the undercroft. One door from the upper courtyard will open and connect to mission control.

Bastion

The bastion is the area at the top of the castle, just outside the power room. It connects the power room with the upper and lower courtyards, but will only be accessible after the power has been enabled.

One set of Pack-A-Punch Machine pieces is located here. Interact with them to teleport these pieces further into the map.

advertisem*nt

In the center of the area is an electric trap called the Death Ray. Activate it with 1000 points to electrify the floor around here.

A Wundersphere can be found at the edge of the bastion. It can only be used with 500 points after the landing pad at the rocket platform has been activated.

Tunnel to Trophy Room

The tunnel to the trophy room is a short path from the tram station to the upper courtyard. Near the entrance from the tram station is an L-Car 9 wallbuy. Purchase this machine pistol with 750 points.

A short distance up the path is the Mule Kick Perk-A-Cola Machine overlooking the base of the mountain. Purchase this perk with 4000 points.

Follow the path up to the trophy room. This room holds a GobbleGum Machine and a KRM-262 wallbuy. The shotgun can be purchased with 750 points.

The debris blocking the doorway ahead can be cleared with 1000 points. This door will lead out to the upper courtyard.

Upper Courtyard

The upper courtyard is a large area that connects the trophy room with mission control. One of the three Rocket Shield pieces can be found randomly around here.

The Kuda wallbuy is located beneath the barracks on the left side of the courtyard. This SMG can be purchased with 1250 points.

advertisem*nt

Right near the Kuda is a Wundersphere. Once the landing pad at the lower courtyard has been activated and the power has been enabled, this Wundersphere can be used with 500 points to quickly travel to the upper courtyard.

Ascend the stairs on the right side of the courtyard to find a Vesper wallbuy. This SMG can be purchased with 1250 points. The path will lead to a doorway blocked by debris. Spend 1250 points to clear the debris blocking this door and the door from the path on the left side of the courtyard. This will lead to mission control.

Up the stairs over the entrance from the tunnels is a Wunderfizz Orb Machine. This machine is right next to a landing pad. Stand over the pad and hold the reload button to activate it. This will allow you to use the Wundersphere somewhere else on the map to return to the lower courtyard.

The door to the right will lead to the barracks, which then leads to a doorway blocked by debris. Spend 1250 points to clear the debris blocking this door and the door from the path on the right side of the courtyard. This will lead to mission control.

Mission Control

Mission Control is a small room that connects the upper courtyard to the power room. This room holds a work bench to the right of the fire place in the back. Use this to assemble the rocket shield and ragnarok once you have the necessary pieces.

The M8A7 wallbuy is located between two sets of stairs on one side of the room. This assault rifle can be purchased with 1500 points.

advertisem*nt

On the other side of the room is the Speed Cola Machine in a corner. After enabling the power, you can buy this perk with 3000 points.

A Wunderfizz Orb Machine is located up the stairs near the Speed Cola. Additionally, debris can be cleared on the balcony with 500 points to quickly jump down to the ground floor.

A door leading to the power room is located up the stairs to the left of the M8A7 wallbuy. This door can be opened with 1500 points.

Undercroft

The Undercroft is a large area beneath the castle. There are three doors that will lead to the Undercroft, all which open automatically once the power has been enabled. One door is up the stairs at the tram station, one door is at the lower courtyard near the dragon statue, and one door is on the ground floor of mission control.

If you take the path from the tram station, you will find a KN-44 wallbuy for 1400 points. To the right of this wallbuy is the Jugger-Nog Perk-A-Cola Machine for 2500 points.

If you take the path from the lower courtyard, you will find an HVK-30 wallbuy for 1600 points.

Deeper into the undercroft is another set of Pack-A-Punch Machine pieces. Interact with them to teleport these pieces further into the map. Near the pieces is another GobbleGum Machine.

advertisem*nt

Around the corner from the PAP pieces is a pyramid. Look on the floor near the pyramid to find four unusual tiles. If you stand on these tiles for a few seconds, they will give off a blue light. Get all four to illuminate to double jump and wallrun around this area for a short time.

Locate and wallrun over six more glyphs on the walls in this area to open a panel revealing a BRM wallbuy. Double jump or wallrun up to this chalk outline to purchase the weapon with 1800 points. You will also be able to find another Rocket Shield piece on the walls of this area. It can only be grabbed while wallrunning is enabled.

One last gate can be found and purchased within this area for 1500 points. This gate will lead to a teleporter similar to the one in Der Riese. Spend 500 points to teleport to the Rocket Platform.

Rocket Platform

The Rocket Platform is an area that can only be reached from the undercroft teleporter.

Follow the path out of the tunnel to find a landing pad. Stand over the pad and hold the reload button to activate it. This will allow you to use the Wundersphere somewhere else on the map to return to the rocket platform. To the right of the landing pad is a VMP wallbuy. Use 1300 points to purchase this SMG.

On the left side of the rocket pad is a Trip Mine wallbuy. This explosive can be purchased with 1000 points.

Another Wunderfizz Orb Machine is located in this area to the right of the rocket pad.

advertisem*nt

The final set of PAP pieces is located on the left side of the rocket pad. If you teleported the two sets of pieces from the undercroft and bastion, the Pack-A-Punch Machine will assemble here. Upgrade a weapon with 5000 points.

A Wundersphere is located at the back-right side of the rocket pad. If you activated the landing pad at the tram station, you can quickly jump from the rocket platform to the tram station with 500 points.
